10 Places to Get Your Pancake Fix

10 PLACES TO GET YOUR PANCAKE FIX

Pancake Day, best known as Shrove Tuesday, is a great time to try out some new local food places. Or, if you are a business, to experiment with new recipes and present to a wider audience. Pancakes are a personal favourite of mine for weekend brunch dates over a natter and a cuppa. But, where can you get your pancake fix this Shrove Tuesday and everyday within Halifax and surrounding areas? Check out some of these local hot spots for some sweet and savoury treats that are flipping fantastic.

ARCADE COFFEE & FOOD

Arcade Coffee & Food, based in the heart of Huddersfield, is set within the Byram Arcade creating delicious food and drinks. They serve a wide variety of food daily catering for all dietary requirements and recently launched their limited edition pancake menu. With working in Huddersfield, I went for a lovely lunch to indulge on the amazing pancakes on offer and they did not disappoint. I went for a savoury option which was a stack of fluffy pancakes with breakfast style toppings. It was amazing and the sweet options looked great too. Very creative flavours and “insta-gramable” presentation, I would defiantly recommend Arcade if you get the chance to go.

MANOR HOUSE LINDLEY

The place itself is truly beautiful with grand decor and different rooms for all occasions. This Pancake Day the business is hosting a ‘Tasting Event’ for a ‘Flipping Good Pancake Day’. The menu is exclusive to Pancake Day and will be served throughout the whole day. At just £7.00 a pancake, you can enjoy deluxe and delicious pancakes all day long.

RICCIS PLACE

Riccis Place is a favourite of mine for breakfast/brunch as they serve their fluffy American style pancakes throughout the whole week which are usually topped with syrup and berries with the option of nutella too. I personally always get a side of bacon with mine to make them extra indulgent washed down with a coffee or fresh juice. Pancake Day is everyday at Riccis on their breakfast menu so pop in this weekend and treat yourself.

HUMBLEST OF PLEASURES

Humblest of Pleasures is a funky, vegan, cafe in the heart of Hebden Bridges high street. Not only does the cafe look totally rad with neon signs, tropical exteriors and drool worthy bakes, but they are 100% vegan in everything they make and bake. You can grab yourself some amazing pancakes here stacked with sweet and savoury treats. I think Humblest of Pleasures is a great place to go if you are vegan or wanting to dip your toe into the vegan world but not sure where to start. Like me, I am not a vegan, but would 10000% still rock up here to get my pancake and good vibe fix.
