Jewellery makes for a perfect gift for friends and family, or a little treat to yourself. Whether it is for everyday or occasion wear check out some of these small businesses who are crafting their way through the handmade jewellery world.
Purple Pixie by Denise is a UK creator and designer with a real passion for making handcrafted jewellery and accessories. Denise kindly gifted me some lovely pieces which are now my everyday favourites. Purple Pixie jewellery is handmade using sterling silver sheets and wire which goes to show how much effort and love goes into creating these truly unique pieces. At very affordable prices, you can grab the ‘Moonstone Stud Earrings’ and ‘Short Sterling Silver Necklace’ (as shown in the images) from just £20 which I personally think is amazing value for something so beautifully crafted, packed and branded. Other products available are cuff-links, rings and bracelets, perfect for a thoughtful gift or little treat for yourself.
Fair Bloom Jewellery
Fair Bloom Jewellery, created and founded by the lovely Marianne, designs and creates delicate Japanese glass seed bead jewellery to celebrate all women and their stories. Fair Bloom is all about women knowing their true beauty and for everyone to know who they are is wonderfully accepted. Jewellery can mean more than just a pretty gift, Marianne believes ‘we are all fair beautiful blooms’ and that is what Fair Bloom Jewellery celebrates. The maker also accepts commissions and customised jewellery from a wide range of products such as earrings, necklaces, rings and more!
Only Willow Jewellery
Only Willow Jewellery is all about creating handmade, quality jewellery and gifting here in the UK. The lovely Olivia handcrafts gorgeous pieces single handedly and also welcomes custom orders making truly unique one off pieces. You can see me wearing the Silver Bee Necklace with a 16″ chain (other lengths available). From keepsake cutlery, jewellery and keyrings there is not much Only Willows can not do. I had the pleasure of meeting Olivia in person earlier this year and I can confirm she is just as beautiful inside and out as her jewellery. I also love the empowering body positivity journey she is embracing and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her and her business.
Cut & Hang
Cut and Hang offer handmade jewellery from resin and polymer clay. Cut and Hang kindly sent me a pair of their earrings and you can see me rocking the ‘Orange Spotty U-Bend‘ set attached. All their jewellery is handmade and made to order so you can ensure all your earrings are unique and personal to you whether you are buying for yourself or for a gift. Cut and Hang have a wide range of styles in their collection and I love how they create jewellery to allow people to express themselves in colourful, bold, statements. From sassy studs to patterned party pieces check them out on Instagram or Etsy.
I received this gorgeous gold pendant necklace as a valentines present from my partner after having had my eye on it for ages. I really love the way our initials are embossed into the charms and it is a really lovely keepsake I can wear everyday. I found J&S Jewellery on Not On The High Street and their pieces are really affordable and well made. The brand focuses on ‘integrate contemporary design while accentuating femininity and individuality’ as well as being a ‘British designed independent jewellery brand, offering affordable and giftable bespoke jewellery. Simple, personalised designs with symbolic meaning’.
Ah Jewellery is owned by the lovely Ami who hand-makes all her jewellery within a West Yorkshire studio. The maker says Ah Jewellery creates “minimal, geometric pieces to more organic, rustic designs, from simple studs to bold statement necklaces“. Ami recently kindly gifted me a pair of her gold, threaded, thunderbolt earrings and I can honestly say they are so beautifully made and a real statement for those day-to-night accessories. Plus, the branded packaging made opening these feel like a real gift with a quality gift box and care card. Check out Ah Jewellery for all your lovingly made jewellery needs.
Audrey + George
Audrey + George make handmade polymer clay earrings in a range of fun, colourful, patterns and styles. The brand are based in Manchester and pride themselves on quality design and sustainability with all products being handmade and the packaging being fully recyclable. One thing I love about Audrey + George is the bold and creative element of the earrings. Like myself, the founder of the small business enjoys styles that are “big, bold and bright“. You can see from the image attached I am wearing the design called ‘Gabriella‘ and this design is in a tropical pink and green colour pallet with stud backs and hanging style.
Made by Lucy
Made by Lucy is a handmade jewellery business founded and ran by the creative Lucy. All her jewellery is cute and unique with a large range of different earrings for all styles and personalities. Lucy also offers custom designs and patterns on all her products which are handmade from polymer clay. Made by Lucy’s jewellery is available to purchase via Etsy or Instagram and each piece is truly unique as a ‘one off‘. Check out these earrings Lucy kindly gifted to me in my favourite, signature dalmatian print. All the extra detailing that go into making these gorgeous pieces really stand out along with the funky design.
